FAQ

How should photographers charge, hourly or per event?

Both work. Event photography (weddings, corporate) is typically quoted as a package. Portrait sessions charge per session or per hour. Commercial/product photography charges per image or per half-day. Always include editing time in your rate.

Should I invoice before or after the shoot?

Best practice: send a quote before the shoot, collect a 50% deposit, then invoice the balance after delivering the final images. For recurring commercial clients, invoice monthly. wabill tracks partial payments automatically.

How do I handle usage rights on an invoice?

State the usage rights clearly on the invoice or accompanying terms. For commercial photography, the licence (web only, print, exclusive, time-limited) directly affects pricing. Personal/event photography typically includes full personal usage rights.
